A2EP's submission on the Victorian Renewable Gas Directions Paper

In its submission on the Victorian Government's Renewable Gas Directions Paper, A2EP recommends expanding the state's renewable gas targets, citing what we believe to be an underestimation of biogas resources available and the criticality of biogas to the decarbonisation of the industrial sector.
Drawing on A2EP's significant research and experience in decarbonising industrial heat, the submission also recommended a greater investment in data and research on renewable gas to better inform policy and action. In particular, it was recommended Victoria invest in the mapping of biogas producers and potential users to increase the possible matching of producers and users which results in a more economical utilisation of resources.
