One of our key roles is ensuring government decision-makers better understand the current and future needs of those in our industry who are seeking a more productive and decarbonised energy future. A2EP recently submitted responses on behalf of our Members and industrial energy users for two key government initiatives.
The Australian Government released a consultation paper for its National Energy Performance Strategy and called for submissions from industry and the community, with key questions for each sector. A2EP focussed on the industrial sector questions and invited feedback from our Members to help form our official submission. Many thanks to those who contributed.
Consultation was also recently open for the Australian Government's $1.9 billion Powering the Regions Fund (PRF), which aims to support the decarbonisation of existing industries and creation of new clean energy industries.
