While there are many benefits to be had from industrial electrification, it almost always results in additional loads on electrical infrastructure, which can require costly upgrades. Sometimes the upgrade costs can be a multiple of the electrification technology being implemented (for example, a heat pump or electrode boiler) and can take years to implement.
This webinar explored three ways to get the most out of existing infrastructure and reduce the need for upgrades. It covered data capture, smart controls, energy efficiency, onsite solar PV and batteries.
